Training: Six to Nine Months prior to January 1 to start with stipend

The Massachusetts Baptist Charitable Society has been assisting clergy families since 1794. The Society is currently seeking a full-time treasurer to work closely with the Executive Director and Executive Committee to carry out the financial responsibilities of The Society.  The responsibilities include: 

1. Skill in computer bookkeeping and maintenance of financial records using Quickbooks online
2. Work with Automated Data Payroll Processing (ADP) to manage monthly salaries and annuities
3. Write and mail all checks relating to The Society and it's ministries
4. Attend and present financial updates including bank account and investment status at regularly scheduled Executive Committee meetings.  
5. Prepare, present, and answer any related questions to The Societies Trustee Board, annually.  
6. Schedule and attend quarterly meetings with the investment committee and firm as well as communicate as needed with the firm regarding financial transactions.  
7. Prepare for annual closing of books in preparation of annual audit.  
8. Maintain Sensitivity to grantee's confidentiality and vulnerability as well as fidelity to The Societies financial holdings.  
9. Cooperate with the Executive Director and Committee on special, scheduled events throughout the year
10. Cooperate with the Executive Director to keep the website updated and accurate.
